The run order

How a moving day goes when it goes well

  1. 7:30 · The walkthrough, again

Ten minutes retracing the plan with you: anything changed since we wrote it, anything added to the garage pile.

  2. 7:45 · Protection run

Runners down the hallway, guards on the door frames, boards on any glass along the route. The truck has not been opened yet.

  3. 8:00 · Cartons, then furniture

Boxes move first and build the truck's base wall. Furniture follows room by room, furthest from the door first, so the route never clogs.

  4. Midday · The last 40 metres

On deep blocks and battle-axe drives the carry to the kerb is its own leg: ground boards on the path, a trolley relay, one crew member stationed at the truck to pack while two feed it.

  5. Afternoon · Unload in reverse

Last on, first off. Beds go up first at the new place, the kettle comes off the truck last, and the protection comes off the old house on our way out.

Why St Ives carries are longer

This is a driveway suburb: no station of its own, quiet wide streets, and houses set well back under canopy. The truck parks legally and close, then the distance is beaten with staging and trolleys, not with jogging. Parking on the street outside your place is almost always workable here; where a council permit or a lifted branch matters, we sort it before the day.

Between suburbs, across Sydney, or further

Most of our work moves within the ridge: St Ives to Turramurra, Gordon to St Ives Chase, the family-sized hop that keeps the school run intact. Cross-Sydney days run the same way with more road in the middle; the CBD is 18.8 km down the Pacific Highway or Mona Vale Road and the plan simply budgets the legs honestly.

Interstate, we are candid: we are a local practice, not a linehaul company. We will pack and load the St Ives end so it travels properly, and hand the highway leg to people who run it every week. Say "interstate" in the enquiry and we will tell you exactly where our job ends and theirs begins, in writing like everything else.

The crew and the rate

Two to three bedroom houses run with 3 movers + 1 truck at $350/hr. Larger homes step up to 4 movers + 2 trucks at $500/hr. The rates page has every figure and the reasoning; the walkthrough attaches the hours.

The next step

Tell us about the house

Send the enquiry and we will come back to you with questions worth asking, then a walkthrough and a written move plan. No obligation, no hurry, no hard sell.
